Philosophy of Education

Supported by all Teachers

Our Philosophy of education, is that every student has the capability to learn

Our Staff

The individuals who make up the Greater Limits staff came here because they wanted to be part of something exceptional.

Greater Limits received SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and School) Accreditation in May 2004. All of Greater Limits teachers and teacher assistants are Highly Qualified under “No Child Left Behind”.

Team teaching, multiage kindergarten/first grade classes, and our integrated service delivery model require highly skilled teachers. In a K-1 class, for example, teachers and assistants interact daily with children ranging from ages 5 to 7, reaching out to each with the level of intellectual challenge and guidance they require. Greater Limits staff embraces the diversity of children’s abilities, behaviors, and backgrounds in their classrooms. Further, teachers, specialists and support staff work closely with their colleagues to a degree unlike the typical elementary school.

Teacher of the Month

This month's featured teacher is Laquonda Mitchel. Laquonda has taught at our school for over ten years. While she enjoys teaching all ages of students, she is currently the teacher of our 5th graders in the general studies department. Laquonda is one of our schools greatest assets.  She is in charge of PTO and the writters workshop club here at Greater Limits.  We are so proud to have her as one of our own!
